Swiss Radio (RSI)

Switzerland, officially the Swiss Confederation, is a country situated in the confluence of western, central, and southern Europe. It is a federal republic composed of 26 cantons, with federal authorities seated in Bern. Switzerland is a landlocked country bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. It is geographically divided among the Swiss Plateau, the Alps, and the Jura, spanning a total area of 41,285 km2 (15,940 sq mi), and land area of 39,997 km2 (15,443 sq mi). While the Alps occupy the greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of approximately 8.5 million is concentrated mostly on the plateau, where the largest cities are located, among them the two global cities and economic centres of Zürich and Geneva.
Switzerland has four national languages: mainly German (spoken by 62.8% of the population in 2016); French (22.9%) in the west; and Italian (8.2%) in the south. The fourth national language, Romansh (0.5%), is a Romance language spoken locally in the southeastern trilingual canton of Grisons and is designated by Article 4 of the Federal Constitution as a national language along with German, French, and Italian, and in Article 70 as an official language if the authorities communicate with persons who speak Romansh. However, federal laws and other official acts do not need to be decreed in Romansh.

Radiotelevisione svizzera di lingua italiana (RSI) is a Swiss public broadcasting organisation, part of SRG SSR. RSI is responsible for the production and broadcasting of radio and television programmes in Italian for Switzerland (Italian-speaking Switzerland). RSI’s administrative headquarters are located in Via Canevascini in Lugano-Besso.

Rete Uno Rete due Rete Tre
RSI Rete Uno is the principal radio channel of the Swiss public-service broadcasting organization Radio Svizzera Italiana, broadcasting in Italian, it is receivable throughout Switzerland. RSI Rete Due is the second Italian-language radio station from Radiotelevisione svizzera di lingua italiana (RSI). Programming is mainly focused on classical music and culture, much like Radio SRF 2 Kultur and Espace 2. RSI Rete Tre is the third Italian-language radio station from Radiotelevisione svizzera di lingua italiana (RSI), aimed at younger listeners broadcasting popular and alternative music. It is available in Ticino and Graubünden.
